HIGH SCHOOL PHOTO PROJECT
The High School Photo Project started in 2008 as Barack Obama was running for President. The students are seniors at the three high schools in the Obama’s home community of Hyde Park-Kenwood on Chicago’s southside. The students are asked to bring a quotation they believe speaks of their identity, interests, or beliefs. They wear what they wish and are welcome to bring props. They pose themselves and write the words they’ve chosen on a chalkboard in their school.
